There are some great articles written about the Indian Classical music which we will summarize here. There is no substitute for explanations by great composers like Sohail Rana and Shiv Kumar Sharma and we will try to get their articles here as well. I have been very lucky that I can count among my friends legends like Sohail Bhai, Shiv Kumar Sharma and the great table player Zakir Hussain and I will try to put some of the gems of these great artists as it refers to the music for all of you.

Each Raag has its own unique flavour or "personality" as some composers like to refer it as. We "feel" this personality by the realization of its mood. There is an aspect of astrology which has not been written about much but I have done a lot of research of my own (not from books but from attending concerts and speaking to the legends for years), and I may put some of the amazing findings for you here.
In fact, most of the Raags were named after the rising and setting of stars! For example, Pisces sets the mood for pathos (Bhairo Thaat or Piloo). When Moon is in Pisces, it is best represented by the Raag Kirvani (Asavari Thaat - Aeolian mode) and string instruments.
