Mehdi HassanMehdi Hassan

The King of Ghazals, is a legend of his time. Mehdi Hassan had a class of his own and it is hard to find anybody reaching the melodious tones and rendering the ghazals like him. He also belonged the Age of the Golden Movies (Neptune in Leo), and aspect which only repeats itself once in 165 years! We will be providing a page with all the links to the most famous ghazals and video clips along with some rare audio clips as well.

NoorjehanNoor Jahan

If Mehdi Hassan is the King of Ghazals, then Noor Jahan is definitely the Queen of music. Her unique style has an amazing quality and power and her voice did not require the normal microphone to amplify it! She probably would have been more recognized had she stayed in India instead of migrating to Pakistan but it was a tradeoff. Pakistani poets were much more intellectual and refined but they did not care for the marketing at all. We will be providing a page with all the links to the most famous ghazals and video clips along with some rare audio clips as well

Amjad Khan

Ustad Amjad Ali Khan is one of the foremost Sarod players in India and has carved a niche for himself in the Hall of Fame of Indian classical music. He has achieved immense popularity in India as well as abroad and has equally regaled connoisseurs and lay listeners of classical music.
We will provide a page with all the links to the most famous ghazals and video clips along with some rare audio clips as well.

Pandit Jasraj

One of my favourite Raags is Darbari and Pandit Jasraj has done one of the most beautiful renditions of it. Pandit Jasraj, the unique ambassador of North Indian Classical vocals, has a scholarship instituted by the University of Toronto in his name for deserving young Canadian students who wish to train in Indian music. We will be providing a page with all the links to the most famous ghazals and video clips along with some rare audio clips as well.

Bhimsen Gururaj Joshi

Another one of my favourite singers to put one in a trance when he sings Raag Darbari. Acknowledged as the leading light of the Kirana gharana, Bhimsen Gururaj Joshi was born on 14 February 1922 as a conservative school master’s son of Gadag, an idyllic village in Dharwad district of Karnataka.

We will be provide a page with all the links to the most famous ghazals and video clips along with some rare audio clips as well.
